Ultrasound therapy is a non-invasive, effective and FDA-approved treatment method for musculoskeletal problems. In the probe of the ultrasound device, there is a crystal with piezoelectric properties, which is caused by the electric current to oscillate, and as a result, creates ultrasonic waves or ultrasound. These sound waves are able to penetrate deep into tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints and cause deep heat and non-thermal effects in the tissue.
